Mediation

Participating in Mediation. Most Texas counties require mediation before parties can proceed to trial in a family law matter. Almost all judges in Harris, Montgomery, and Fort Bend County impose this requirement. Mediation is a process in which a third party “neutral”, the mediator, is selected to assist the parties and in the resolution of their family law case through a settlement session conducted by the mediator. Any agreement reached in mediation is binding, meaning your case is concluded without the necessity of a trial. The Jenkins & Kamin, L.L.P. team are experienced in the art of preparing for and executing a successful mediation.
